Tous à vos agendas, la 6ème édition du Festival International des Lettres et des Arts (FESTILARTS) s’ouvrira le 19 juin prochain. Placée sous le thème « De Bella Bellow à Jeannette Ahonsou : mots, musiques et modèles », les activités se tiendront du 19 au 24 juin 2023 à l’Université de Lomé.
La 6ème édition du Festilarts rend hommage à deux figures féminines majeures de la scène artistique nationale :
Bella Bellow et Jeannette Ahonsou, dans la perspective de contribuer à l’atteinte de l’ODD 5 (L’ODD5 a pour objectif principal l’atteinte de l’égalité entre les sexes et l’autonomisation de toutes les femmes et les filles.) Elle entend ainsi contribuer à la construction et à l’entretien d’une émulation artistique de la jeunesse togolaise notamment en se basant sur l’excellence artistique de ces deux figures.
Pour cette édition, les étudiants sont invités à des ateliers en critique littéraire journalistique, analyse et traduction littéraire et en organisation des manifestations littéraires en Afrique.
Des ateliers de danse, conte, théâtre et jeu vidéo sont également au programme. Les formateurs viendront du Togo et de plusieurs pays africains.
Le festival connaîtra particulièrement deux résidences de création artistique et littéraire. Quatre artistes plasticien.ne.s togolais.es et une gabonaise sont mobilisés pour créer des œuvres d’art inspirées des ouvrages de l’écrivaine Jeannette Ahonsou.
Les œuvres seront ensuite exposées sur le site du festival jusqu’au 07 juillet, après un vernissage le 21 juin. Le poète et universitaire Anas Atakora sera quant à lui en résidence d’écriture et animera une conférence et une master class entre autres au cours du festival.
Comme à l’accoutumé, une conférence inaugurale sur le thème de cette édition sera donnée au lancement du festival. Conversations et panels ainsi que dédicaces d’œuvres ne manqueront pas au rendez-vous. Trois grandes soirées de spectacle (théâtre, danse, conte et poésie) sont aussi prévues.
La 6ème édition du Festival International des Lettres et des Arts sera aussi marquée par la distinction des lauréats du Prix Littéraire Komla Messan Nubukpo Théâtre 2023. Ce prix a été pensé par le groupe ADEPT/CoDIReL et Nimble Feathers pour rendre hommage au Professeur Nubukpo, Doyen honoraire de la Faculté des Lettres, Langues et Arts.
Le PL-KMN récompense chaque année depuis 2019 les efforts et innovations artistiques et littéraires des écrivains togolais.
Le genre littéraire choisi cette année est le théâtre.
Le Festilarts est une des grandes manifestations culturelles au Togo consacrée aux arts et disciplines littéraires. Chaque année depuis 2017, il mobilise toute la communauté universitaire du Togo et d’ailleurs, ainsi que des acteurs tant nationaux qu’internationaux de la chaîne du livre et de l’art. C’est un lieu unique de rencontres, d’échanges, de création, de formation et de promotions des œuvres littéraires et artistiques, qui participe en effet à la dynamisation des champs concernés au Togo.
Le Festival International des Lettres et des Arts est une initiative de l’association Nimble Feathers logée à la Faculté des Lettres, Langues et Arts de l’Université de Lomé.
Le Festilarts regroupe des enseignants et auteurs de la Faculté des Lettres, Langues et Arts à l’intention des étudiants de la faculté et de toute la communauté universitaire. Il a pour but de promouvoir la création et la critique littéraire et artistique au sein de l’université en servant de cadre de rencontres, d’échanges et de formation entre le public universitaire d’une part, et d’autre part, les auteurs nationaux et internationaux, les éditeurs, les critiques littéraires, et les autres acteurs de la chaîne du livre et des arts.
