C’est bien ce qu’on peut retenir d’une note signée en date du 1er décembre 2021 par le Chef d’Etat-Major Général des Formes armées togolaises, le Général de Brigade Dadja MAGANAWE.
Ce dernier a suspendu le départ à la retraite pour tous les militaires des Forces armées togolaises (FAT) jusqu’à nouvel ordre.
« À compter de la signature de la présente note de service, les départs à la retraite pour tous les militaires des forces armées togolaises sont suspendues jusqu’à nouvel ordre », renseigne cette note qui invite les chefs d’états-majors, les directeurs centraux et les commandants des écoles et centres à se charger de son exécution.
Même si le statut particulier de l’armée exige que tout militaire retraité de moins de 10 ans peut être rappelé par l’armée pour un service, tout porte à croire que cette décision du Gal Maganawe est due aux menaces terroristes dans la sous région et récemment au Togo.
