Togo/Politique : Le MPDD exige la libération immédiate de Paul Missiagbeto, un conseiller de Agbéyomé Kodjo
Le Mouvement Patriotique pour le Développement et la Démocratie (MPDD), a appris avec une grande consternation l’enlèvement du sieur Paul Missiagbeto, conseiller spécial de Agbéyomé Kodjo le lundi dernier. À travers un communiqué signé en date du mercredi 19 mai 2021, la formation politique MPDD exige sa libération immédiate.
Selon le communiqué, le MPDD affirme avoir appris l’enlèvement du sieur Paul Missiagbeto par des personnes en civil se réclamant de la gendarmerie, aux motifs non encore élucidés et suivie d’une double perquisition, le tout sans le moindre document les y habitant. Ce dernier fut conduit et gardé à vue au SCRIC depuis lundi, sans que les faits qui lui sont reprochés ne soient connus de lui et ce, en violation de l’article 17 de la constitution togolaise du 14 octobre 1992 qui dispose que « Toute personne arrêté a le droit d’être immédiatement informée des charges retenues contre elle ».
Le MPDD souligne que dans le cas de l’interpellation de Paul Paul Missiagbeto, outre les perquisitions et fouilles ayant occasionné des dommages collatéraux, son téléphone portable et celui de son épouse ont été arrachés et confisqués par les agents du SCRIC, portant ainsi atteinte aux données privées contenues dans lesdits téléphones.
Par ailleurs, la formation politique MPDD élève une vive protestation et exprime son indignation contre ces actes attentatoires aux droits et libertés reconnus par notre loi fondamentale et d’autres dispositions légales que les autorités judiciaires sont censées être les garants.
Le MPDD condamne toutes ces manœuvres consistant à déstabiliser la DMK qui revendique la victoire que le peuple lui a confié le 22 février 2020 et exige la libération immédiate et sans condition de Paul Missiagbeto.
