Un test sanguin pourrait rapidement détecter les risques de 17 maladies cardiovasculaires, selon les résultats d’une étude publiée dans la revue médicale Journal of Cardiovascular Translational Research. Une innovation accessible pour 180 euros qui permettrait d’améliorer le diagnostic précoce des maladies cardiovasculaires héréditaires.
Un test sanguin conçu par des chercheurs du National Heart Research Institute Singapore et du NIHR Cardiovascular Biomedical Research Unit (Royaume-Uni) serait capable d’identifier en 4 jours le risque de développer 17 maladies cardiovasculaires héréditaires. Testé sur 348 malades et 8 échantillons d’ADN, ce nouvel outil de détection a montré un niveau élevé de précision, et une analyse sanguine à large spectre. Il couvre 174 gènes identifiés comme responsables de 17 maladies cardiaques héréditaires.
Autre intérêt de ce test, son coût. En effet, les méthodes aujourd’hui utilisées valent entre 800 et 4 800 euros, celui-ci serait disponible à 180 euros.
AMÉLIORER LE DÉPISTAGE
Améliorer le dépistage de ces pathologies est fondamentale car les maladies cardiovasculaires provoquent deux fois plus décès que les cancers et tuent des millions de personnes par an.
En France, selon les données de la Haute autorité de santé (HAS) environ 100 000 personnes sont touchées par un infarctus, ou une crise cardiaque. Si la prise en charge a permis, en dix ans, de réduire la mortalité, 13% des malades meurent encore. Seule une détection précoce permettrait de réduire ce bilan.
