Clarisse Agbegnenou décroche pour la cinquième fois le titre de championne du Monde au judo
La Togolaise Clarisse Agbegnenou se rapproche à grands pas des judokates les plus titrées de l’histoire.
Alors qu’elle avait été sacrée championne du monde en 2014, 2017, 2018, et 2019 l’athlète vivant en France, dont les parents sont tous deux ressortissants togolais, a remporté ce mercredi 9 juin 2021, son cinquième sacre mondial, à l’issu d’un combat rude contre la slovène Andreja Leski en finale des championnats du monde, catégorie des moins de 63 kilos, en Hongrie.
À seulement 28 ans, Clarisse n’est pas loin d’égaler les légendes du judo féminin telles que la Japonaise Ryoko Tani et la Chinoise Wen Tong, détenant chacune 7 titres.
La quintuple championne du monde et quintuple championne d’Europe tentera de décrocher la médaille d’or aux Jeux olympiques de Tokyo cet été, seul titre qui manque à son palmarès.
