Bénin : L’opposant Joël Aïvo proche de Reckya Madougou, écouté par la Police judiciaire et placé en garde à vue
Après plusieurs arrestations déjà effectuées, la Police judiciaire a convoqué le candidat recalé à la Présidentielle du 11 avril 2021 Joël Aïvo. Selon nos sources, le professeur de droit constitutionnel a été interpellé par les éléments de la police judiciaire ce jeudi 15 avril 2021, pour les besoins d’une enquête ouverte sur des infractions commises en matière électorale.
Après son audition, il a été placé en garde à vue et pourrait être présenté au procureur spécial de la Cour de répression des infractions économiques et du terrorisme (Criet) demain, vendredi 16 avril.
Toujours d’après nos sources, des charges de financement de terrorisme ont été retenues contre lui tout comme l’ancienne candidate Reckya Madougou.
Pour rappel, Joël Aïvo a plusieurs fois dénoncé les conditions d’organisation de l’élection présidentielle qui a porté Patrice Talon au pouvoir avec un score de 86%. L’opposant Aïvo, proche de Reckya Madougou avait apporté son soutien à la candidate et avait à de nombreuses reprises critiqué le pouvoir Talon.
