Le gouvernement togolais vient de suspendre la Taxe sur les véhicules à moteur (TVM), pour toutes les catégories de véhicules de transport de marchandises et de personnes à usage commercial à compter du 11 avril 2022.
À travers un communiqué signé en date du 11 avril 2022, les ministres Sani Yaya et Affoh Atcha-Dédji ont informé de la « suspension de la Taxe sur les véhicules à moteur (TVM) concernant les véhicules de toutes catégories de transport de marchandises et de personne à usage commercial »
Cette mesure poursuit le communiqué, vise à atténuer l’impact de l’inflation constatée sur les activités de transports de marchandises et de personnes. Cette mesure s’inscrit dans la continuité des actions déjà entreprises par le gouvernement pour le pouvoir d’achat des populations.
Rappelons que suite à la hausse du coût des produits pétroliers le 29 mars dernier, le gouvernement avait annoncé « toute une batterie de mesures de soutien », et la lutte contre la spéculation.
Notons par ailleurs que c’était le 20 février 2021, que l’Office Togolais des Recettes (OTR) avait lancé la TVM pour dit-on, mobiliser des fonds pour l’entretien et la construction de nouvelles infrastructures routières au Togo.
