La police nationale dans le cadre de sa mission de sécurisation a interpellé seize présumés cybercriminels de nationalité nigériane et saisit du matériel informatique le 05 octobre dernier dans la banlieue est de la capitale.
» Suite à un renseignement faisant état de la présence d’un groupe d’individus suspects dans un appartement à Bè-Kpota à Lomé, une descente de police y a été faite. Cette opération a, non seulement, permis d’interpeller seize présumés cybercriminels dont deux de sexe féminin, mais aussi de saisir du matériel informatique et divers autres objets dont des ordinateurs portables, des Smartphones, des cartes Sim Moov, Togocom et MTN, qui servent au transfert monétaire » a indiqué la police nationale.
Selon les responsables de la police, les enquêtes se poursuivent pour démanteler les réseaux avec lesquels ils sont en relation.
» La police nationale remercie la population pour sa collaboration qui a permis une fois encore de démanteler un réseau de criminels. Elle l’appelle à plus de vigilance pour éviter d’être victime de ces cybercriminels » poursuit la note.
