Togo : KODJO Gabriel Messan Agbéyomé veut bien « rentrer au bercail » sous certaines conditions
Le candidat malheureux à l’élection présidentielle du 22 février 2020 au Togo, Gabriel Messan Agbéyomé Kodjo s’est exprimé sur son avenir politique ce 18 avril 2023. Depuis sa terre d’exil, le candidat de la Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro (DMK) ne cesse de réclamer sa victoire depuis sa nouvelle terre d’asile. Ce dernier veut bien revenir au bercail si certaines conditions sont réunies
Invité sur un média de la place, Agbéyomé Kodjo, le chef du Mouvement des patriotes pour le développement et la démocratie (MPDD) a déclaré qu’il était prêt à rentrer au Togo. Pour lui, ‘‘ Il suffit juste que Faure Gnassingbé prenne une décision de levée de toutes les mesures de contrôle judiciaire à mon encontre et à l’encontre d’autres personnes (…). Si j’entends ça demain matin à 7h, je saute dans le premier avion ‘’, a-t-il laissé entendre.
Il souhaite ensuite rencontrer le chef de l’Etat pour des échanges destinés à assurer le développement du Togo. ‘’ Nous ne sommes pas en guerre contre lui. Que Faure Gnassingbé, que nous estimons nous avoir volé notre victoire (à l’élection présidentielle de 2020, ndlr) nous sorte de l’exil, de la clandestinité et que l’on s’asseye pour parler ‘’, a-t-il ajouté.
Un geste d’apaisement ? Un souhait de mettre fin à son séjour à l’étranger et de réintégrer la vie politique locale ? Sans doute, les deux seront scrutés à la lettre par les togolais dans leur ensemble.
L’on se rappelle que l’opposant togolais et président du MPDD, est persuadé d’avoir remporté la présidentielle du 22 février 2020. Il avait déposé un recours qui a été rejeté par la Cour constitutionnelle, et depuis plus de deux déjà, KODJO Agbéyomé vit en exil loin des siens.
