Peine de prison à perpétuité, R. Kelly prêt à balancer d’autres stars pédophiles pour voir sa peine de prison réduite
Reconnu coupable de crimes sexuels par un tribunal de New York le 27 septembre dernier, R Kelly est désormais en prison. Mais selon les médias américains, le rappeur serait prêt à balancer d’autres prédateurs sexuels du monde musical américain pour voir sa peine allégée…
Il n’a pas fallu plus d’un mois d’audience pour régler le sort de R. Kelly. L’interprète du tube planétaire I Believe I Can Fly a été jugé pour des faits d’extorsion, d’exploitation sexuelle de mineure, d’enlèvement, de corruption et de travail forcé. Des faits qui se seraient déroulés entre 1994 et 2018. Neuf femmes et deux hommes ont témoigné contre l’icône R’n’B accusé d’avoir abusé d’eux sexuellement. Ils ont rapporté viols, prises de drogues forcées, des situations de séquestration ainsi que des faits de pédopornographie.
Le 27 septembre dernier, le chanteur a donc été jugé coupable. Toutefois, si la justice américaine a tranché quant à la culpabilité de l’artiste, sa peine, elle, ne sera rendue publique qu’en mai 2022. Mais on sait déjà que le chanteur encourt une peine de prison à perpétuité, une peine à laquelle évidemment il souhaite échapper.
Et pour ce faire, R.Kelly aurait trouvé une solution. Il serait selon ses avocats prêt à balancer d’autres stars qui auraient, selon lui, commis des crimes sexuels sur des mineurs. Dans la besace de celui qui avait épousé la chanteuse Aaliyah alors qu’elle n’avait que quinze ans : « un rappeur et un grand chanteur », rapportent les médias américains. « [R Kelly] et son équipe travaillent avec le gouvernement fédéral pour réduire sa peine de prison », est-il ainsi rapporté.
Dans le même temps, YouTube a retiré les chaînes du chanteur de sa plateforme vidéo : « Nous pouvons confirmer que nous avons supprimé deux chaînes liées à R. Kelly conformément à nos règles sur la responsabilité des créateurs « , a déclaré ce mercredi 6 octobre à l’AFP un porte-parole de YouTube. « Les actes odieux commis par R. Kelly justifient des sanctions qui vont au-delà des mesures habituellement appliquées, en raison d’un risque de préjudice généralisé, explique Nicole Alston directrice du service juridique de YouTube dans une note de service adressée aux employés de la plateforme. En résumé, nous prenons cette mesure pour protéger nos utilisateurs comme le font les autres plateformes. R. Kelly ne sera plus en mesure d’utiliser, de posséder ou de créer des chaînes YouTube. »
