Il s’agit notamment du Rwanda, qui devrait croître de 7,9 %, de la Côte d’Ivoire de 7,1 %, du Bénin de 6,4 %, de l’Éthiopie de 6,0 % et de la Tanzanie de 5,6 %…..La croissance en Afrique de l’Ouest devrait passer de 3,6 % en 2022 à 4,1 % en 2023 et 4,3 % en 2024, la Côte d’Ivoire et le Sénégal stimulant la croissance de la région.
Dans la publication inaugurale d’un rapport intitulé « Performances et perspectives macroéconomiques de l’Afrique » publié le 19 janvier, le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement a indiqué que « la croissance dans les cinq régions africaines était positive en 2022 et les perspectives pour 2023-2024 devraient être écurie. »
Les projections sont supérieures aux chiffres mondiaux attendus (respectivement 2,7% et 3,2%) pour la même période.
Il s’agit notamment du Rwanda, qui devrait croître de 7,9 %, de la Côte d’Ivoire de 7,1 %, du Bénin de 6,4 %, de l’Éthiopie de 6,0 % et de la Tanzanie de 5,6 %.
Pays africains qui connaîtront une croissance économique positive
Mais il y a un groupe d’autres pays africains qui devraient également voir leur économie croître de plus de 5,5 % au cours de la même période. Ceux-ci incluent le Niger à 9,6%, le Sénégal à 9,4%, la République Démocratique du Congo à 6,8%, la Gambie à 6,4%, le Mozambique à 6,5% et le Togo à 6,3%.
En Afrique de l’Est, la croissance devrait passer de 4,2 % en 2022 à 5 % en 2023 et 5,4 % en 2024, le Rwanda étant en tête de la région.
L’Ouganda et l’Éthiopie devraient également connaître une forte croissance en 2023 et 2024, dépassant 5 % en raison de l’évolution du secteur pétrolier en Ouganda et de la poursuite des dépenses d’infrastructure en Éthiopie.
La croissance en Afrique de l’Ouest devrait passer de 3,6 % en 2022 à 4,1 % en 2023 et 4,3 % en 2024, la Côte d’Ivoire et le Sénégal stimulant la croissance de la région.
L’Afrique centrale devrait connaître une légère baisse de 4,7 % en 2022 à 4,3 % en 2023 et se stabiliser à 4,2 % en 2024.
La région de l’Afrique australe, accablée par les difficultés économiques de l’Afrique du Sud, a les taux de croissance les plus faibles, malgré la performance exceptionnelle du Mozambique.
« À moyen terme, cependant, la faiblesse persistante de l’Afrique du Sud continuera de peser sur la région, la production réelle devant ralentir à 2,3 % en 2023 avant de remonter à 2,8 % en 2024. »
La croissance dans le sud sera principalement tirée par le Mozambique, qui verra sa croissance économique stimulée par les investissements dans le gaz naturel liquéfié et les industries connexes.
En Afrique du Nord, la croissance devrait se stabiliser à 4,3 % en 2023, soutenue par une forte reprise attendue en Libye et au Maroc.

L’économiste Jeffrey Sachs estime que ces tendances montrent que « l’Afrique peut et va atteindre une croissance de 7% ou plus par an de manière constante dans les décennies à venir ».
