Élections présidentielle et législatives | La Turquie face à un second tour alors qu’Erdogan survit au premier test
La Turquie semblait se diriger vers un second tour des élections présidentielle et législatives après que ni Tayyip Erdogan ni son rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu n’aient franchi le seuil de la victoire pure et simple dimanche, bien qu’Erdogan ait mieux performé que prévu dans sa bataille pour prolonger son règne de 20 ans.
Les résultats définitifs se font toujours attendre.
Avec plus de 96% des urnes dépouillées, Erdogan était en tête avec 49,44% des voix et le candidat unique de six mouvements d’opposition, Kilicdaroglu de 44,86%, selon l’agence de presse officielle Anadolu, il ne fait plus aucun doute qu’un second tour aura lieu le 28 mai.
Plus de 26 millions de personnes ont voté pour Erdogan, plus de 23,8 millions pour Kilicdaroglu et plus de 2,7 millions pour Sinan Ogan de l’Alliance ATA.
Si un second tour se profile bel et bien le 28 mai, Erdogan se veut serein.
« Nous ne savons pas encore si l’élection est terminée avec ce premier tour mais si le peuple nous emmène au second tour, nous le respecterons » a déclaré le président-candidat, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
En 2018, Recep Tayyip Erdogan avait remporté le scrutin dès le premier tour avec 52,5% des voix.
