La neuvième édition du Festival Togoville Jazz a débuté le 12 avril 2023 dernier. Ce festival qui est un véritable carrefour de la scène live vivante a tenu en haleine les participants à travers les différentes scènes « live » riches en couleur et en diversités artistiques du Togo, de l’Afrique et du monde. Cependant, l’une des prestations les plus captivantes, riches en sonorités, en création artistiques reste celle de l’artiste Hortense Nayo.
ll sonnait exactement 19 h 47, quand l’artiste et son groupe montèrent sur scène, tous en uniforme, un habillement qui fait recours aux années 70 – 80. Ils dégageaient une certaine énergie artistique. Hortense NAYO et Lomé Orchestra ont captivé le public sur la scène Jimi Hope de l’Institut français du Togo le samedi 15 avril pour le compte du 4e concert du festival.
Bien qu’il soit difficile de trouver une artiste qui puisse être comparée à la légende togolaise, Bella Bellow, une icône de la chanson dans les années 60 – 70, connue pour sa voix puissante et envoûtante, son héritage culturel continue d’inspirer des générations de musiciens et de fans de musique africaine.
