Économie : Coris Bank international bénéficie d’un financement de 328 milliards CFA auprès de Afreximbank
Le groupe Coris Bank international a bénéficié d’un accord de financement à hauteur de 328 milliards de francs CFA, de la Banque africaine d’import-export, Afreximbank. C’est le PDG du groupe Coris Idrissa Nassa himself qui a apposé sa signature, le 16 juin 2022 au Caire en Égypte. L’accord va permettre de financer des activités dans les neuf pays où Coris Bank international est implanté.
C’est un « accord de financement du trade, pour un montant de 500 millions d’euros, soit l’équivalent en FCFA de 328 milliards», dont Coris Bank international bénéficie. La signature s’est faite le 16 juin, avec le président de Afreximbank, Pr Benedict Oramah, en marge des travaux de l’Assemblée générale de cette banque africaine d’import-export.
Idrissa Nassa, patron de Coris Bank international, trouve le soutien assez conséquent. « Cet important soutien apporté au Groupe Coris servira au financement de l’approvisionnement en biens de première nécessité et produits de grande consommation, au profit des populations des 9 pays dans lesquels le Groupe Coris est implanté», a-t-il déclaré.
Selon lui, « des relations fortes et engagées entre institutions Africaines comme celles-ci [Coris Bank et Afreximbank], constituent une des clés du développement de notre continent».
A noter que la banque privée burkinabè est présente en Côte d’Ivoire, au Burkina Faso, au Mali, au Niger, au Sénégal, au Bénin, au Togo, en Guinée Conakry et en Guinée Bissau. Elle y finance beaucoup de secteurs d’activité, ce qui fait d’elle l’une des banques les plus importantes d’Afrique de l’ouest.
