Vaccin contre covid-19 : Prof Mijiyawa informe sur les effets attendus et inattendus du post-vaccinale indésirable
La vaccination contre la Covid-19 sera bientôt effective dans le pays de Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé. Le ministre de la santé, de l’hygiène publique et de l’accès universel des soins, professeur Moustafa Mijiyawa à travers un communiqué signé en date du 16 février 2021, décrit les manifestations post-vaccinales indésirables de la Covid-19. Les effets indésirables c’est-à-dire attendus et inattendus de ce vaccin ne sont pas différents des effets habituellement observés avec les autres vaccins classiques.
Un vaccin est un produit immunologique, contenant un antigène provenant d’un agent infectieux, administrée à un organisme sain dans le but de provoquer le développement d’une immunité, par la production d’anticorps ou de cellules, capables de lutter contre l’agent infectieux. La vaccination contre la Covid-19 qui vise deux objectifs, peut avoir des manifestations post-vaccinales indésirables selon le ministre en charge de la santé et de l’hygiène publique. « Comme après toute vaccination, des manifestations post-vaccinales indésirables (MAPI) peuvent être observés. Globalement, on distingue des effets attendus et des effets inattendus » a souligné prof Mijiyawa avant de préciser que les effets attendus sont : les manifestations locales au point d’injection, douleurs modérées, rougeur démangeaisons passagères et gonflements. Les manifestations générales sont : les fièvres passagères, frissons, douleurs musculaires et articulaires. Les effets inattendus sont : allergies sévères 1 pour 100.000 personnes.
Les deux objectifs de la vaccination contre la Covid-19 sont notamment la réduction des conséquences économiques et sociales de la crise sanitaire et diminuer la charge de la maladie, en prévenant les cas graves, les décès et par conséquent de réduire la surcharge hospitalière. Selon le ministère de la santé, l’efficacité des vaccins n’est pas encore démontrée pour réduire la transmission du SARS-CoV-2, d’où le respect des mesures barrières même après la vaccination est très important.
Par ailleurs, le ministre informe, que les personnes prioritaires pour la vaccination seront les personnes vulnérables. « Il s’agit des personnels de santé en première ligne, personnes âgées de 50 ans et plus, les personnes qui présentent des maladies chroniques comme l’hypertension artérielle, le diabète, le VIH, le cancer, l’insuffisance rénale chronique » peut-on lire dans le communiqué
