Alors que le Togo se prépare à organiser la très polémique conférence internationale sur l’ECO, dans l’enceinte de l’université de Lomé, l’économiste Kako Nubukpo, l’un des ténors de ladite rencontre ne pouvait pas échapper aux questions pièges des journalistes.

Reçu ce 24 mai 2021, sur une radio locale de la capitale Lomé, l’ex doyen de la faculté de sciences économiques et de gestion (Faseg) de l’université de Lomé, a été contraint de se prononcer sur ses désirs les plus intimes.

À la question de savoir s’il se présenterait aux élections présidentielles de 2025 comme candidat, l’actuel commissaire de l’Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine (UEMOA) n’entend pas créer de sentiments dubitatifs et équivoques dans le cœur des Togolais.

Il répond au journaliste d’un ton d’humour, et de la façon la plus simple et rapide : « Je suis un homme simple qui vit simplement et qui aime s’occuper de sa famille. Alors ne créez pas de problème… »

Kako Nubukpo rejette-t-il alors le poste de chef de l’État ?

Tout semble être clair. Mais à remarquer l’instabilité intellectuelle de l’économiste notamment en ce qui concerne sa position sur le franc CFA et sa transition vers l’Eco, on se demande tous, si ces propos doivent être pris pour paroles d’évangile ?

En rappel, la conférence internationale sur l’ECO aura lieu du 26 au 28 mai prochain.
