Alors que la CEDEAO continue d’espérer un retour au pouvoir du président déchu Mohamed Bazoum par le dialogue ou par la force, les militaires au pouvoir au Niger semblent ignorer les menaces du bloc sous régionale et annonce un dialogue national et une transition de 3ans maximum. « conscient de la nécessité de structurer les nouveaux élan de patriotisme qui renaît au Niger, j’engage toutes les forces vives de la nation à travers un dialogue nationale inclusif », a indiqué Tiani. .
Le général de Brigade Abdurahmane Tchiani , président du conseil national pour la sauvegarde de la patrie (CNSP), a annoncé dans un discours de fermeté, d’espoir retransmis à la télévision nationale samedi 19 août 2023 , la tenue d’un dialogue national inclusif de Trente jours qui va réunir toutes les forces vives de la nation.
Le gouvernement dirigé par Lamine Zeine, Premier ministre nommé par le CNSP été instruit dit-il, en vue de prendre les dispositions pour la tenue dudit dialogue inclusif.
Dans son adresse à la nation, le président du CNSP a exposé les motivations derrière ces motivations cruciales pour le pays
« Définir les principes fondamentaux devant régir notre transition ; Définir la priorité de la transition dont la durée ne saurait aller au-delà de trois ans ; Définir les priorités nationales durant la transition ; Atteler les valeurs fondamentales devant guider la refondation de la République » liste le président de la transition nigérienne.
« Dans le cadre du dialogue fraternel, que nous allons trouver j’en suis convaincu les solutions adoptées à tous les défis qui se posent à nous » lance le général de brigade président de la transition.
Le général Tiani s’est dit prêt également à toute initiative de dialogue « pour autant qu’il tienne compte des orientations voulues par le peuple nigérien ».
« Notre ambition n’est pas de confisquer le pouvoir« , a déclaré Tiani, qui a longuement dénoncé les sanctions imposées par la Cédéao suite au coup d’Etat. Alors que les chefs militaires de l’organisation ouest-africaine viennent de se réunir à Accra au Ghana pour boucler la préparation d’une option militaire, Abdourahamane Tiani a averti les pays de Communauté économique des Etats d’Afrique de l’ouest contre toute intervention militaire.
« Si une agression devait être entreprise contre nous, elle ne sera pas la promenade de santé à laquelle certains croient », a-t-il affirmé.
Il sied de rappeler que pour la première fois depuis le coup d’Etat, et grâce rôle clé joué par le eprésident togolais Faure Gnassingbé, en mettant en œuvre une stratégie d’apaisement des tensions, les émissaires de la CEDEAO ont pu dialoguer avec les autorités en place samedi dans la matinée à Niamey. Ceci permet ainsi un début de dialogue entre le CNSP et le bloc sous régional .
La délégation de la CEDEAO, après une réunion avec le président de la transition, le général Abdourahamane Tchiani, a également rendu visite à l’ancien président déchu, Mohamed Bazoum qui visiblement se porte bien.
Mohamed Bazoum était visible dans la soirée dans une photo largement relayée, prise avec la délégation de la Cédéao conduite par l’ancien président nigérian Abdulsalami Abubakar.
La présence du premier ministre nommé par la transition et d’autres membres de l’équipe militaire lors de la rencontre CNSP et la CÉDÉAO a marqué un pas vers la résolution de la crise en cours pour tenter de trouver une solution diplomatique à la crise .
