L’Organisation mondiale de la santé indique que 16 personnes sont désormais en quarantaine en tant que cas contacts suspects. L’organisme de santé a déployé une équipe d’experts dans la région pour soutenir les agents de santé.
La semaine dernière, le ministre de la Santé du pays, Mitoha Ondo’o Ayekaba, a déclaré que des enquêtes préliminaires liaient les décès à des personnes ayant assisté à une cérémonie funéraire.
Les déplacements ont été restreints autour de deux villages où la plupart des cas ont été signalés. La recherche des contacts est actuellement en cours.
