Les arnaqueurs ont changé de mode pour étancher leur soif via les réseaux sociaux. Depuis plusieurs jours, une carte d’identité au nom de TONGNI-KATONGO Sassou Homefa circule sur les réseaux sociaux et atterrit dans nombreux groupes WhatsApp avec une photo collée du Consul de Mauritanie au Togo, a appris la rédaction de notre journal.
« Une carte d’identité est présentée avec ma photo collée. Ça circule depuis quelques jours sur beaucoup de plateforme WhatsApp » a informé le Consul de Mauritanie SOW Mocktar avant d’ajouter que « des gens utilisent mon image pour arnaquer d’autres ».
Comment procèdent-ils?
Le mode opératoire consiste à tromper la vigilance de leurs cibles avec un coupon de la Loterie nationale togolaise (LONATO) falsifié en coupon gagnant accompagné des résultats du tirage et d’une carte d’identité pour mieux emballer leurs cibles auprès de qui, ils soutirent paisiblement de l’argent avec le message suivant :
Bonjour/Bonsoir je suis le SECRÉTAIRE à la direction de lonato togolaise je me norme TONGNI-KATONGO Sossou Homefa , nous avons trouvé votre numéro dans notre site plateforme de lonato et je suis a votre disposition pour vous aider à gagner les numéros gagnants très sûr suivant les conditions a remplir, voilà ma carte d’identité nationale es ce que vous êtes vraiment intéressé à gagner les numéro gagnants avec nous ? ? ?
Sans toutefois caché sa colère, le diplomate mauritanien compte saisir la justice togolaise par une plainte contre ces cybercriminels qui salissent son image. Il s’insurge contre les opérateurs mobiles du Togo qui malgré l’identification des numéros permettent à certaines personnes de disposer paisiblement de numéros pour ses sales besognes.
