Quand elle est bien exécutée, avec ces voix et un chœur harmonieux qui s’élèvent en dominant légèrement le piano, la guitare, l’orgue Hammond (Et normalement le xylophone et la harpe.), on a l’impression d’entendre des anges chanter et des notes joyeuses de Do, Ré, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si, envahir l’espace que nous occupons. L’évangile quant à lui est un mot d’origine grecque et signifie « Bonne nouvelle. ». Tout ceci pour dire que le GOSPEL est le symbole d’une nouvelle naissance, d’une résurrection et de la grâce qui libère. En lien donc avec l’émancipation des esclaves.
