Burkina Faso : Challenge to Ministers Yacouba Dié and Donatien Nagalo, investigations underway

The government says it has taken note of the challenge by Ministers of Commerce Donatien Nagalo and Housing Ministers Yacouba Dié. He made this known in a press release read on the 1 p.m. television news on October 27, 2022.
The Burkinabè government, in a press release read on national television, announced that it had taken note of the dissatisfaction expressed following the appointment of certain ministers and indicated that investigations are underway on the incriminated personalities. « In any case, it (Editor’s note the government) will be able to draw all the consequences arising from these investigations » specifies the press release.
In this press release signed by the government spokesperson, the populations are invited to serenity and to « keep faith in the common will to instil a new governance more concerned with the general interest and more virtuous »
The installation of Donatien Nagalo as Minister of Commerce on Thursday has been postponed.
Traders took to the streets to challenge his appointment, accusing him of « aggravated fraud ».
In a video shared on social networks, Yacouba Dié, appointed Minister of Town Planning, Land Affairs and Housing, is blamed, among other things, for the poor construction of the December 11 housing estates in Manga. It should be officially installed on Friday, October 28.
