Le Bénin accueille tard ce mardi, le président français Emmanuel Macron, a appris TogoNyigba par son correspondant à Cotonou. Le président de la République française, Emmanuel MACRON effectue dès ce mardi 26 juillet 2022 dans la soirée, une visite de travail au Bénin.
La présidence de la République à travers un communiqué a publié quelques temps forts de la visite du chef de l’Etat français en terre béninoise. Emmanuel MACRON à Cotonou pour une visite de travail de 48h avant de continuer dans d’autres pays africains. C’est la toute première visite d’un président français depuis l’avènement de la Rupture depuis le 06 avril 2016. Aussi, c’est la première après la réélection de Talon en avril 2022. Durant son séjour en terre béninoise, le président français sera reçu par le chef de l’Etat Patrice TALON. Ce sera dans la matinée de ce mercredi au palais de la Marina, selon des sources officielles. Suivra une séance de travail élargie à l’issue de laquelle divers documents seront signés. À la suite de ces échanges, le chef de l’Etat français va visiter l’exposition diptyque « ART DU BÉNIN, D’HIER ET D’AUJOURD’HUI : DE LA RESTITUTION À LA RÉVÉLATION » – Trésors royaux et Art contemporain du Bénin dont la réouverture a été faite le samedi 16 juillet 2022, renseigne le communiqué. Au cours du point de presse conjoint, les deux chefs d’Etat vont aborder des questions liées au renforcement de la coopération bilatérale, à la sécurité sous-régionale, la lutte contre le terrorisme, et plusieurs autres sujets.
Avant de quitter Cotonou, Emmanuel MACRON va se rendre dans l’après-midi du mercredi au Lycée français, puis à l’Agence de Développement de Sèmè City (Cité Internationale de l’Innovation et du Savoir).

Déjà le 22 juillet, le député français Hubert JULIEN-LAFERRIÈRE a écrit une note pour adresser au Parlement français sur la visite d’Emmanuel Macron au Bénin.
À en croire la note, le président Emmanuel Macron ne devrait pas se rendre au Bénin à cause de la démocratie et des détenus politiques. Pour l’élu du peuple français, le contexte politique est très tendu et les libertés sont très restreintes. Dans la note consultée par TogoNyigba, le député JULIEN-LAFERRIÈRE a parlé du procès des opposants candidats recalés Reckya Madougou et Joël Aïvo. Pour lui, c’était des parodies de procès qui était organisé en une journée et qui se sont soldés par l’emprisonnement ferme de 10 ans pour Joël Aïvo et 20 ans pour Reckya Madougou. L’élu français souhaite que Macron obtienne la libération des détenus politiques dont Aïvo et Madougou car la France et l’Europe sont un grand exemple de Démocratie. Arrêtés en mars et avril 2021, Reckya Madougou et Joël Aïvo séjournent jusqu’à ce jour dans les prisons civiles de Akpro-Missreté et Cotonou. Seule une grâce présidentielle du 31 juillet en marge de la célébration de la fête de l’indépendance peut les libérer. Rendez-vous alors la semaine prochaine.
