La commission de l’Union Économique et Monétaire Ouest Africaine (UEMOA) veut apporter sa pierre à la protection du patrimoine routier et à la durabilité des investissements routiers par le contrôle de la charge à l’excès des camions.
Des infrastructures de la station de pesage à basse vitesses de Tsévié ont étés inaugurées en ce sens ce jeudi et remises aux autorités Togolaises.
La cérémonie s’est déroulée sur le site, situé à 40 km au nord de Lomé. Le Ministre des Transports, la Représentante Résidente de la Commission au Togo, les autorités locales et coutumières ainsi que les responsables de la Faîtière Patronale des Transporteurs Routiers (FPTTR) ont honorés de leurs présences à cette cérémonie. Construite sur un domaine de 4 hectares, la station de pesage à basse vitesse de Tsévié comprend 3 voies distinctes de pesage et des bâtiments à usage administratif et technique.
Cette inauguration s’inscrit dans la logique de l’application communautaire du règlement 14 de l’UEMOA. Cette disposition harmonise les normes et procédures de contrôle des gabarits du poids et de la charge à l’excès des véhicules lourds de transport des marchandises dans l’espace UEMOA.
A la réception de ces infrastructures, la ministre des traveaux publics Mme Zouréhatou KASSAH-TRAORE a exprimé sa gratitude à l’UEMOA et salué les efforts du gouvernement pour la protection du secteur des infrastructures routières. Une unité de soin des populations est construite au sein d’un district sanitaire de Tsévié dans le cadre des mesures sociales du projet. La cérémonie s’est déroulée en présence du ministre des Transports routiers, aériens et ferroviaires Affo Atcha DEDJI.
Le coût global des travaux s’élève à environ 1 milliard 200 millions de FCFA, entièrement financé par la Commission de l’UEMOA.
