Les populations autochtones de la ville de Lomé ont désormais leur livre d’histoire.
L’ouvrage de 303 pages a été présenté au public le samedi 22 janvier 2022 à Lomé.
Les populations aujourd’hui appelées Bè seraient les derniers à quitter Notsè après l’exode rural pour s’installer autour de l’an 1630 à « Alomé » devenu aujourd’hui Lomé, capitale du Togo.
Les premières installations de ce peuple qui s’établirent sur une bande de terre appelée « Vieux Bè » entre la berge Sud de la lagune de Bè et la côte atlantique, de part et d’autre de la voie pavée dénommée « Rue Amemaka Libla » sont composées de sept agglomérations aujourd’hui quartiers originels de Bè à savoir : Adzrometi, Hedze, Amoutiévé, Agodo Dangbuipé, Agodogan et Apéyémé désignés en Ewé « Bé gbonu adrē ».
« L’information reçues au cours du forum communautaire de chacun de ces villages et quartiers originels ou groupe de quartiers secondaires, auquel la délégation a eu à participer, enrichies des recherches documentaires ont permis de renseigner les deux chapitres de l’ouvrage structurés en quatre parties pour la présentation de chaque village où quartier, fondation, différents peuplements, chefferie traditionnelle et vie socio culturelle » a indiqué le Président du Comité de Développement de la zone de Bè, Président du la commission Ad hoc rédactrice du livre, Akoété Kougblénou.
Le Grand Bè s’étire sur trois cantons tels que Bè, Amoutivé et Baguida dirigés chacun par un chef canton et couvre aujourd’hui cinq communes (Golfe 1, Golfe 2, Golfe 3, Golfe 4 et Golfe 6).
« Chaque peuple a son histoire et il est de notre devoir de laisser l’histoire du Grand Bè dans un livre pour les générations présentes et futures » a déclaré le chef canton de Bè, Togbui Kwami Mawuko Adela Aklassou IV.
Pour le Maire de la Commune Golfe 2, James Amaglo qui était au rendez-vous, l’initiative très louable doit être élargie aux autre s communautés sœurs afin d’écrire une histoire du Grand Lomé composé des Bè, Aflao et Agoènyivé.
La dédicace du livre disponible au secrétariat du CDB au Centre communautaire de Bè a mis fin la présentation officielle de l’ouvrage dans une ambiance conviviale.
