Togo : L’ATC regrette la hausse des prix des produits pétroliers et réclame des mesures d’accompagnement pour une population déjà affectée par la vie chère.

Communiqué de l’Association Togolaise des Consommateurs (ATC) relatif à l’augmentation des prix des produits pétroliers au Togo survenue le 28 mars 2022
(ATC- 29 mars 2022)
Dans la nuit du 28 mars 2022, les prix des produits pétroliers ont connu une hausse importante. Les nouveaux prix à la pompe sont les suivants : le super plomb est à 595F, le pétrole lampant à 550F, le gas-oil à 605F, et le mélange 2 temps à 690F. Soit des hausses respectives de 90F, 85F, 84F, et 150F. Cette décision du gouvernement sera lourde de conséquences sur les populations déjà affectées par la vie chère.
Quoi que le gouvernement explique cette augmentation par le fait que le prix du baril du pétrole a connu une hausse exponentielle sur le marché international, L’Association Togolaise des Consommateurs (ATC) regrette que cette hausse soit très élevée par rapport au pouvoir d’achat du consommateur Togolais.
Afin d’amoindrir l’impact négatif de cette décision sur le quotidien de la population, lATC demande au gouvernement de :
Prendre rapidement des mesures d’accompagnement en vue d’aider les consommateurs vulnérables qui seront touchées par cette augmentation des prix des produits pétroliers,
Procéder à la diminution ou à la suppression temporaire de certaines taxes sur certains produits et services,
Engager rapidement des discussions avec les syndicats des transporteurs pour le respect des tarifs officiels par les conducteurs de taxi, des transports en commun et de taxi-moto,
Procéder dans à l’ouverture des frontières terrestres afin de faciliter la circulation des biens, des personnes et du trafic commercial,
Accentuer les contrôles de l’application des prix dans le circuit commercial afin de stopper les spéculation et pénuries artificielles entretenues par certains commerçants véreux,
Accentuer les cadres de discussion avec tous les acteurs concernés en vue de trouver des alternatives pouvant améliorer le panier de la ménagère et le pouvoir d’achat des citoyens des consommateurs,
Rétablir la Commission nationale contre la vie chère afin quelle reprenne ces activités
