Togo/La CNDH en deuil: la présidente de l’institution s’est éteinte ce lundi

Ses proches parents et toute la nation auront attendu en vain son retour du pavillon militaire du CHU-Tokoin. Mme Nakpa Polo, ancienne ministre togolaise, et actuelle présidente de la commission nationale des droits de l’homme n’est plus. Elle a rendu l’âme ce lundi 16 août au CHU Sylvanus Olympio à la suite d’une maladie bénigne.

L’ancienne ambassadrice permanente du Togo auprès des Nations, de l’Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC) et directrice générale des Droits de l’Homme fût élue en avril 2019 à la tête de la Commission Nationale des Droits de l’Homme.

Elle est la première femme a occupé ce poste. Elle fût secrétaire d’ETAT auprès du ministre de la justice et des relations avec les institutions de la République, chargée des droits de l’Homme.

Nakpo Polo est docteur en droit public et a travailler en tant de secrétaire d’État auprès du ministre de la justice chargé des droits de l’homme et des relations avec les institutions de la République.

Elle a été portée à la tête de la CNDH en remplacement au professeur Alilou Sam-Dja Cissé, le 25 avril 2019.

Rappelons que la CNDH a été créée en 1987 par deux avocats, Aboudou Assouma, alors magistrat au parquet de Lomé, aujourd’hui président de la Cour Constitutionnelle, et Yaowi Agboyibor, à l’époque bâtonnier de l’Ordre des avocats, devenu président du parti CAR (opposition).

Toute la rédaction du journal Togonyigba présente ses sincères condoléances aux familles éplorées. Le Togo a perdu une de ses dignes filles. Que la terre lui soit légère !
