Togo-Elections 2023 : Nouveau recensement électoral du 29 avril au 03 juin 2023 suivant un calendrier établi par la CENI
Les préparatifs se poursuivent, en vue des élections législatives et régionales, prévues pour cette année 2023. Le gouvernement togolais vient de fixer, mercredi 5 avril 2023 en Conseil des ministres, la date du recensement électoral. Elle devrait se dérouler du 29 avril au 03 juin prochain.
En effet, le conseil des ministres tenu ce 05 avril sous la présidence du président de la République, SEM Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, à adopté un projet de décret portant ouverture et clôture de la période du recensement électoral pour les prochaines élections régionales et
législatives à venir dans le pays.
« Conformément aux textes en vigueur, « la date d’ouverture et de clôture de la période d’établissements des listes électorales est fixée par décret en conseil des ministres sur proposition de la Commission Electorale Nationale Indépendante (CENI) » peut-on lire dans le communiqué sanctionnant le Conseil des ministres
En vue des prochaines élections régionales et législatives, et faisant suite à une des recommandations issues de la concertation nationale entre acteurs politiques (CNAP), il s’est avéré nécessaire d’opérer un nouveau recensement électoral. C’est dans ce cadre que ce décret est adopté pour ouvrir la période de recensement électoral.
Ainsi le recensement électoral se déroulera pendant la période du 29 avril au 03 juin 2023 suivant des dates, proposées par la Commission électorale nationale indépendante (CENI)
Pour rappel, la dernière révision du fichier électoral remonte à 2019, et avait permis de dénombrer 3,6 millions d’électeurs en tout.
