Togo-Benin : L’exécution des travaux pour une protection de la côte transfrontalière bientôt effective
Une cérémonie de signature de contrats relatifs aux travaux de protection à long terme de la côte transfrontalière Bénin-Togo, de contrôle et surveillance desdits travaux ont été signés lundi 06 décembre dernier, a appris notre rédaction.
Ces travaux interviennent dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre du volet régional du Projet d’Investissements, de Résilience des Zones Côtières en Afrique de l’Ouest (WACA).
Selon le Ministre béninois José TONATO, la signature de contrats apparaît comme l’aboutissement d’un travail de dure labeur.
Cette cérémonie marque ainsi le démarrage opérationnel des travaux de protection du segment de la côte transfrontalier d’Agbodrafo au Togo jusqu’à Grand-Popo et de la bouche du Roy au Bénin.
Avec ce vaste chantier Ouest africain, le Bénin et Togo ont en commun un littoral de 180 km de long dont 125 km au Bénin.
BOSKALIS INTERNATIONAL BV est l’entreprise sélectionnée pour la réalisation des travaux de protection côtière pour un montant de 41.646.182.783 francs CFA avec une somme de 1.382.502.130 francs CFA mise à la disposition du groupement d’études du bureau de contrôle INROS-LACKNER pour en assurer la surveillance.
En rappel, le programme WACA est l’un des projets nationaux élaborés en réponse à ces problématiques
