MAROC/ Des milliers de personnes dans les rues pour protester contre la normalisation des relations avec l’Israël
Des dizaines de manifestants pro-palestiniens ont protesté vendredi devant le Parlement marocain contre la normalisation des liens entre le royaume et Israël, après que l’Etat hébreu a rappelé son ambassadeur à Rabat dans le cadre d’une enquête, ont constaté des correspondants de l’AFP.
Une centaine de personnes ont scandé des slogans contre le rapprochement entre le Maroc et Israël, critiquant son ambassadeur David Govrin et le ministre marocain des Affaires étrangères Nasser Bourita.
La radio publique israélienne Kan a rapporté lundi qu’une délégation du ministère des Affaires étrangères avait été dépêchée à Rabat, à la suite d’accusations d’abus sexuels visant David Govrin.
Une source diplomatique israélienne a confirmé à l’AFP que M. Govrin avait été rappelé le temps d’une enquête, sans en préciser la nature.
Selon les médias israéliens, le diplomate fait face à des accusations d’exploitation de femmes marocaines, de harcèlement sexuel et d’attentat à la pudeur.
« Aujourd’hui, nous sommes devant le parlement pour protester contre les actes hideux » qui auraient été commis par David Govrin, a déclaré Amine Abdelhamid, un militant pro-palestinien opposé à la normalisation des liens entre le Maroc et Israël.
« La dignité du Maroc n’est pas à vendre, la normalisation doit cesser », a-t-il déclaré. Les manifestants ont brûlé un drapeau israélien à la fin de la manifestation.

Rabat a coupé ses relations avec Israël en 2000 à la suite du déclenchement de la deuxième intifada palestinienne, mais en 2020, le Maroc a suivi les Émirats arabes unis et Bahreïn en officialisant ses liens avec Israël.
L’accord soutenu par les États-Unis a vu Washington reconnaître la souveraineté marocaine sur le territoire contesté du Sahara occidental.
M. Govrin, 59 ans, a été le représentant d’Israël au Caire avant d’être nommé ambassadeur à Rabat l’année dernière.
Contacté par l’AFP cette semaine, le ministère israélien des Affaires étrangères n’a pas fait de commentaire sur l’enquête.
