Au Mali, sept (7) soldats togolais ont laissé leur vie ce mercredi 8 décembre 2021 au centre du Mali.
Selon le Secrétaire général adjoint des Nations Unies chargé des opérations de maintien de la paix, Jean-Pierre Lacroix et les soldats togolais ont été tués dans une explosion d’engin explosif d’un convoi logistique de la mission multidimensionnelle intégrée des Nations Unies pour la stabilité au Mali (MINUSMA) en direction de Sévaré.
» Ce 8 décembre, un convoi logistique de la Force allant de Douentza à Sévaré (centre) a heurté un engin explosif. Un premier bilan fait état de sept Casques bleus décédés et trois grièvement blessés », a-t-il annoncé.
Aux dernières nouvelles, les trois soldats gravement blessés ont succombé tous un peu tard dans la soirée.
