Alors que l’opinion publique croit qu’il existe une tension non révélée entre ces deux pays en raison de l’incarcération de Reckya Magoudou, le chef de la diplomatie béninoise, apporte une lumière sur les zones d’ombres et dément toute divergence politico-diplomatique.
En conférence de presse ce lundi 21 juin 2021, Aurélien Agbenonci a déclaré que « les relations entre le Bénin et le Togo ne sont pas mises à mal ».
Sa déclaration intervient dans le cadre du 59ème sommet de la CEDEAO, et dans une conjoncture politique marquée par des opinions plus ou moins claires et tranchées du président béninois Patrice Talon.
