Raila Odinga ne digère pas sa défaite des élections présidentielles du 9 août 2022 qui donnent vainqueur au vice- président William Ruto. Les avocats du leader de l’opposition kényane tentent par tous les moyens d’obtenir l’annulation des résultats.Ses avocats évoquent ce mercredi 31 août devant la cour suprême « un trucage systématique » des résultats.
La défense du vétéran de l’opposition a dénoncé des failles au niveau du système de transmissions des formulaires des résultats entre les bureaux de vote et le centre national de décompte.
Toujours selon la défense,des personnes extérieures à la commission des élections auraient eu accès aux documents.Pour le camp de Raila Odinga,cette intrusion aurait favorisé une manipulation en faveur de William Ruto.
Tous ces arguments ont convaincu la cour suprême qui a autorisé mardi un nouveau décompte des voix de 15 des 46 000 bureaux de vote.Le verdict des juges du contentieux électoral est attendu le 5 septembre .
Cette décision de la cour suprême sonne comme une petite victoire d’étapes judiciaire pour Raila Odinga et ses partisans.
