La présidente de la Faîtière des communes du Togo et maire de la ville d’Atakpamé [Ogou1], Florence Yawa Kouigan, a été élue le 19 mai 2022 au comité exécutif de Cités et Gouvernements Locaux Unis d’Afrique (CGLUA), à l’issue de l’assemblée générale tenue à Kisumu au Kenya
Sont élus également, Mme Fatimetou Mint Abdel Malick [Présidente du Conseil régional de Nouakchott, membre du Bureau de l’AIMF] au poste de Présidente de CGLUA pour un mandat de 3 ans, et comme vice-président pour notre région, Monsieur le ministre Danho Paulin de la Côte d’Ivoire.
Rappelons toujours que Mme Fatimetou Mint Abdel Malick succède à Mme Christine Mba Ndutume, maire de Libreville.
Pour Mme Yawa KOUIGAN, « cette nouvelle responsabilité est une opportunité pour travailler au progrès des collectivités territoriales du Togo et d’Afrique » a t’elle déclarée.
Notons par ailleurs que CGLUA est une
organisation faîtière des gouvernements locaux africains, fondée en 2005 après l’unification de trois groupes continentaux de gouvernements locaux.
