The Burkinabè head of state, Paul Henri Damiba arrived in New York this Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He must take part in the work of the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations.

He will deliver his speech at the UN podium on September 23. On the sidelines of his stay from September 21 to 25, the president will also participate in high-level meetings, in particular on the G5 Sahel, and on the signing of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
The Head of State will have talks with several personalities including Heads of State, present at this meeting from all the countries of the world around issues including bilateral and multilateral cooperation and security.
This is the president’s first official outing from the continent since taking office on January 24, 2022.
