Le Comité pour la libération de tous les prisonniers politiques du Togo qui alerte sur la gravissime détérioration de l’état de santé de ces prisonniers informe que si des mesures urgentes ne sont pas prises, le pire arrivera.
Face à la presse jeudi, le président du Comité pour la libération de tous les prisonniers politiques du Togo, Prof David Dosseh rappelle que l’objectif est de parvenu à trouver des solutions efficaces et définitives à l’incarcération des détenus politiques et permettre aux familles d’exprimer leurs désarrois. Pour le premier responsable dudit comité, l’état de santé de certains prisonniers politiques est très déplorable et il est temps d’agir sinon le pire arrivera.
« Nous déplorons la gravissime détérioration de l’état de santé de certains prisonniers politiques dans les pénitenciers du Togo sur laquelle nous avons été alertés par des membres des familles de ces détenus. Si des mesures urgentes ne sont pas prises, cinq détenus politiques croupissant actuellement dans les prisons togolaises risquent de connaître un sort tragique dans la prochaine période alors que nous avons déjà connu 5 cas de décès certifiés sur un total de 8 ou 9 allégués des suites des tortures qui leur ont été infligées » indique la déclaration liminaire.
À en croire les responsables dudit comité, les cinq détenus décédés proviennent des personnes arrêtées dans l’affaire de « Tigre Révolution ». Il s’agit de Mourane Tairou, Alassani Issaka, Saibou Moussa, Seybou Alilou et Moutawakikou OURO-DJIFA tous décédés sans avoir été jugé ni condamné.
Par ailleurs, le Comité pour la libération de tous les prisonniers politiques du Togo s’est prononcé sur l’intensification de la vague répressive contre les libertés publiques et tout particulièrement la liberté d’expression au Togo. Pour les responsables, deux affaires sont venus confirmer la tendance à l’intensification de la préoccupante vague répressive en cours d’accélération au Togo notamment les affaires Djimon Oré et Paul Missiagbeto.
