Togo : Rencontre Gouvernement-Collectivités territoriales en avril, une étape qui précède les élections régionales
Le Président togolais, Faure Gnassingbé sera bientôt en consultations avec les préfets et les maires en avril prochain à Kara, dans sa préfecture d’origine.
Selon un communiqué du ministre en charge de l’administration territoriale, le ministre d’État, Payadowa Boukpessi, le Chef de l’État Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé sera en conclave avec les représentants centraux et les élus locaux du 13 au 15 avril prochain à Kara.
Premier du genre depuis les dernières élections locales au Togo, cette rencontre va permettre au Chef de l’État et sa délégation d’évaluer ensemble avec les participants le processus de la décentralisation au Togo.
Axée sous le thème, « Diagnostic inclusif du processus de la décentralisation : étape nécessaire vers les élections régionales », la réunion verra la présence des préfets, des maires et leurs adjoints, les secrétaires généraux des préfectures et des communes de même que cinq membres du bureau du conseil des chefs traditionnels par région.
Au centre des discussions, la rénovation du cadre juridique et institutionnel, la fiscalité locale : état des lieux et perspectives, les compétences des collectivités territoriales conformes aux lois en vigueur, le financement des collectivités territoriales : ressources propres et transfert de l’Etat, le potentiel économique des collectivités territoriales, la qualité de l’État civil et la gestion des collectivités territoriales.
La rencontre entre le Gouvernement et les collectivités locales est une étape nécessaire qui précède les échéances électorales régionales et législatives à venir au Togo.
