[Football] La légende camerounaise Rigobert Song est désormais sélectionneur des Lions indomptables !
L’ancien capitaine et ex-défenseur de l’équipe camerounaise, a été nommé lundi 28 février 2022 à la tête de la sélection nationale du Cameroun, et succédant ainsi au Portugais Toni Conceiçao, a annoncé le ministre des Sports dans un communiqué.
Champion d’Afrique en 2000 et 2002, l’ancien capitaine des Lions Indomptables était le sélectionneur de l’équipe olympique des moins de 23 ans depuis 2018. La Fédération camerounaise de football (FECAFOOT) dirigée désormais par l’ancien Lion Samuel Eto’o, a fait d’un autre ancien Lion le sélectionneur principal des Lions indomptables.
Honoré par cette bonne nouvelle, Rigobert Song s’est exprimé sur son compte Twitter: « Le #Cameroun et le maillot des
@LIndomptables m’ont tout donné. Je suis reconnaissant. Je suis honoré d’avoir été choisi pour encadrer la sélection fanion du Cameroun. Au delà du privilège et la joie qui m’animent, je mesure le sens des responsabilités qui me sont confiées.» il poursuit en rassurant le Cameroun: « Je donnerais tout, comme je l’ai fait en tant que joueur et capitaine de la sélection pour mériter la confiance que m’accordent l’État du Cameroun, le président de la @FecafootOfficie,@SamuelEtoo et son Comité exécutif.» a t’il déclaré.
