«Dans la zone du saillant de Vremivka, les combats les plus actifs ont lieu dans les districts des localités de Rivnopil et d’Ourojaïné», a indiqué vendredi le ministère russe de la Défense, assurant y avoir repoussé cinq attaques au cours des dernières 24h, à l’aide de son aviation et de son artillerie.
Une délégation de dirigeants africains pour une médiation en Ukraine, dont le président sud-africain Cyril Ramaphosa, était à Kiev et dans ces environs vendredi pour une mission de médiation, avant de se rendre samedi en Russie. Cette délégation africaine va tenter de convaincre Zelensky et Poutine d’engager un processus de paix.
Quant aux contours de cette mission de paix, ils restent très flous. Un communiqué de la présidence sud-africaine indique seulement que les pays « ont convenu de proposer des éléments » à la Russie et à l’Ukraine « pour un cessez-le-feu et une paix durable dans la région », comme le relate Le Point Afrique.
La délégation était dans la matinée à Boutcha, théâtre d’un massacre de civils imputé à l’armée russe, et doit ensuite rencontre le président ukrainien Volodymyr Zelensky.
