Lomé abrite la semaine nationale en honneur du 7eme art togolais depuis mardi 6 septembre 2022 sur le site Canal Olympia Godopé d’Hanoukopé.
Le lancement officiel à été honoré par présence du ministre togolais de la culture et du tourisme Dr LAMADOKOU Kossi Gbenyo
La touche d’ancre particulière de pinceau qui courronne cet événement annuel d’accoutumance, est l’ouverture d’une compétition d’une vingtaine de films classés dans les catégories : documentaire, fiction, court et long-métrages. Une vingtaine de films de toutes catégories ont été déjà enregistrés sur la liste pour cette compétition inédite selon les organisateurs.
Le Directeur national de la cinématographie dans son allocution révèle : « Nous avons voulu qu’à partir de cette édition il faut introduire la notion de compétition. Nous pensons que c’est à partir de cette notion que le cinéma togolais peut effectivement évoluer. Nous aurons à la fin à primer les premières réalisations en documentaire et fiction court et long métrage. C’est juste pour les encourager et susciter l’émulation chez les meilleurs producteurs afin que le cinéma togolais rentre vraiment dans la logique des créations internationales ».
Pour cette édition, les acteurs, professionnels et amateurs ont pris part à ce rendez-vous : réalisateurs, acteurs, producteurs, cinéastes comme scénaristes, pour un chronogramme détaillé sur 3 jours d’intenses activités.
Le public Togolais et amoureux du 7ème art, seront émerveillés par la qualité de la production cinématographique togolaise. Un élan de qualité, un travail de fond qui ont été faits à l’ombre de cet événement était entre autre le lancement de la Semaine Nationale du Cinéma Togolais à kara le 26 Août dernier. Le Directeur Denis KOUTOM explique la raison du choix porté sur une ville de l’intérieur du pays pour ce lancement :<< Nous sommes toujours dans cette logique que le cinéma togolais soit vu des togolais. C’est pour cela que nous avons même organisé un lancement cette année à l’intérieur du pays. C’est pour approcher le cinéma togolais du Togo profond. Parce qu’il y a aujourd’hui des gens qui pensent que le cinéma togolais n’existe pas.>>
Rappelons que le thème choisi par les organisateurs pour cette sixième édition est :<< Soutien à la création et à la production cinématographique et audiovisuelle au Togo.>> une thématique selon le porte-parole du gouvernement, cadre parfaitement avec la vision 2025 du gouvernement :<< Le thème de cette année(…) s’inscrit dans la volonté du gouvernement de faire de la culture un levier important dans la création de l’offre touristique de loisir comme indiqué dans la feuille de route gouvernementale 2025.>> a déclaré Dr LAMADOKOU Kossi Gbenyo ministre de la culture et du tourisme togolais.

Notons que la grande salle du canal Olympia Godopé sera sous le feu du projecteur chaque soir où des films en lice pour la compétition ou non, ont été projetés déjà du 06 au 09 Septembre dernier. Le meilleur sera primé dans une merveilleuse cérémonie d’apothéose de remise de prix ce e samedi 10 Septembre. Sans perplexité, cette initiative s’inscrit dans le souci d’encourager les acteurs afin que le cinéma togolais soit relevé au rang du défi international.
