Claude Urbain Plagbéto, journaliste béninois, est très remonté contre les autorités de son pays au sujet du certificat d’études primaires (CEP).
Ce lundi 7 juin 2021, 242 066 élèves du primaire au Bénin avaient débuté leur examen qui leur permettrait de passer au collège, le CEP. Et pendant qu’ils composent dans toute insouciance, un journaliste prend leur défense sur les réseaux sociaux.
Dans une tribune, il affirme que cet examen ne fait que profiter à un système, et qu’il est important de le supprimer.
Il pense que les épreuves proposées traumatisent les élèves et ne leur apportent pas grand chose.
» À quoi rime un examen public dont le diplôme ne sert pratiquement à rien ? », S’interroge-t-il.
Pour Claude Plagbéto, les études du primaire permettent simplement de savoir lire et écrire et par conséquent, il est ridicule d’imposer un examen aux coûts faramineux, qui ne donne plus « aucun droit ni privilège particulier à son détenteur » s’insurge-t-il.
« Rien qu’à voir le taux massif d’admission et surtout le nombre impressionnant de collégiens incapables d’écrire correctement leurs propres noms et prénoms ou de formuler une phrase complète sans incorrection « il est avantageux selon lui de faire comme la France qui a supprimé cet examen depuis près de 32 ans.
Si on supprime le CEP cela « épargnerait certainement les enfants et les enseignants du stress et des angoisses inutiles », conclut-il.
