Le journal togolais L’Alternative, a été suspendu de parution pendant 4 (quatre) mois par la Haute Autorité de l’Audiovisuelle et de la Communication (HAAC) à la suite d’une plainte déposée par Me Koffi Tsolenyanu, notaire et Ministre togolais de l’Urbanisme. Le bi-hebdomadaire avait publié le 2 février 2021 un article dont le titre ‘’un faussaire au gouvernement’’ dans ses colonnes
La HAAC doit réguler, protéger les médias et laisser la justice faire son travail ! Peut-on croire que la liberté d’expression, le droit d’écrire, de penser, de dessiner est en régression au Togo ? Les journalistes togolais même respectant la déontologie de leur métier, doivent-ils bannir dans leur vocabulaire certains mots comme ici le mot ‘faussaire », qui désigne une personne qui fait ou commet un faux ?
Oui il y a du faut , à en croire Ferdinand AYITÉ dans ses investigations : « Ce permis de construire que vous voyez a été fait au nom de quelqu’un qui est décédé depuis le 30 Juin 1965. Nous avons parcouru la loi relative au permis de construire au Togo datant du 24 Octobre 1967. Nous avons parcouru la note circulaire relative à la délivrance du permis de construire. Il n est dit à aucun article de ces documents qu’on peut établir un Permis de Construire au NOM d Un CADAVRE. Et pourtant, Me Tsolenyanu qui a fait établir ce document par une société de construction que que lui même a choisit en sert comme pièce dans une procédure judiciaire. Les familles lui ont brandit l’acte de décès du concerné, il refuse d’obtempérer et il continue. Alors, celui qui fait établir un faux document ou en fait usage dans une procédure judiciaire, comment le nomme t on ? On nous dit à la HAAC qu’il est ministre et donc, on devait choisir un autre mot. Lequel par exemple ? Le mot est trop fort, dit on ! Bref, on marche sur la tête dans ce pays. »
Selon la HAAC, les manquements graves relevés sur la publication relèvent de l’absence de recoupement de sources, le recours à des propos injurieux et des insinuations sans fondements.
Auditionné à la HAAC durant 1 h 30mn, le patron du journal l’alternative déclare : ‘le dossier concerne la succession Georges Kudawoo. Nous avons fait ce dossier avec le plus grand professionnalisme. Nous avons écrit au mis en cause pour le rencontrer, il s’est dérobé. Maintenant, il s’est plaint à la HAAC. Il a fourni ses arguments, nous avons fourni les nôtres preuves à l’appui. On nous dit pourquoi on a utilisé le terme Faussaire pour qualifier un ministre au gouvernement. Nous avons demandé à savoir comment on appelle celui qui produit un faux document. On nous dit oui mais pourquoi vous mêlez Unir et la franc-maçonnerie à ça. On a même eu un petit cours sur l’égrégore. Nous avons répondu que quand les gens font des magouilles aujourd’hui ils vont se réfugier dans unir et la franc-maçonnerie. Finalement on nous dit que la HAAC se contentera juste de l’aspect déontologie. Pour les documents de preuves c’est le rôle de la justice d’apprécier ce que chacun apporte. On nous demande de faire un démenti selon la volonté du ministre plaignant. Nous avons dit qu’on ne démentira rien parce que tout ce que nous avions dit est fondé avec des documents à l’appui. Au bout de cette longue audition, les membres de la HAAC décident de suspendre durant 4 mois L’Alternative de toute parution »…
Va-t-on vers le retrait du récépissé de L’Aternative comme ce fut le cas du journal de Carlos Ketohou, l’Indépendant Express ?
En tout cas pour l’heure, Ferdinand Ayité et toute son équipe pense profiter de cette période de suspension pour prendre de bons congés et se reposer suffisamment.
