Le Patronat de la presse togolaise (PTT) a depuis ce 16 septembre 2023 un nouveau président Kokouda Honoré Adontui, directeur de publication du bihebdomadaire ‘’Le Correcteur” a été élu en tant que nouveau président à l’issue d’une assemblée générale élective qui s’est déroulée ce mercredi à Lomé . Il succède ainsi à M. Isidore Akolor, qui a dirigé l’organisation jusqu’à présent.
Titulaire d’un Master en Management des Ressources Humaines et une Maîtrise en Linguistique, le nouveau président apporte avec lui une expérience et une compréhension approfondie des enjeux actuels auxquels le secteur de la presse togolaise est confronté.
Sa désignation intervient à un moment crucial, alors que le paysage médiatique est en pleine mutation avec l’adoption de nouvelles réglementations, la conventions collectives et le nouveau code de la presse et de la communication.
La préoccupation majeure du désormais numéro 1 du PPT est de renforcer les capacités des membres sur les stratégies de compétitivité des entreprises de presse sans oublier un engagement constant pour une presse libre.
« Le nouveau code de la presse comporte des dispositions que toutes les organisations de presse jugent restrictives. Des initiatives ont été prises et des démarches sont en cours pour sa révision. Nous nous engageons à maintenir cette dynamique afin de mener à bien ce processus. Notre objectif est d’aboutir à une presse libre, indépendante et viable, contribuant à l’essor de notre nation. Des dispositions concernant le soutien de l’État aux médias existent à cet égard. Ces mesures devraient également contribuer à la réalisation de cet idéal », a-t-il commenté.
Le nouveau président du PTT a exprimé son engagement envers l’amélioration des compétences et de la viabilité des entreprises de presse. La formation des membres de l’organisation sur des sujets cruciaux visant à accroître leur compétitivité sera au cœur de son mandat. M. Adontui a souligné que cet effort conjugué à la recherche de moyens par le biais de microprojets constituera un chantier essentiel de son mandat à la tête du PTT.

Reconnaissant le travail abattu par ses différents prédécesseurs, Honoré Kokouda Adontui n’a pas manqué de les rendre un hommage. « Je tiens à rendre un hommage sincère à mes prédécesseurs Zeus AZIADOUVO, Carlos KETOHOU et Isidore AKOLLOR, ainsi qu’à l’ensemble de leurs équipes, pour le travail remarquable qu’ils ont accompli afin de maintenir notre organisation à flot », s’est-il exprimé.
Et de poursuivre : « Notre objectif est de garantir la continuité tout en répondant aux défis actuels, notamment en ce qui concerne les implications de la convention collective et du nouveau code de la presse et de la communication ».
« Nous devons alors nous réinventer pour survivre… l’application intégrale de ce nouveau code qui fait de nos organes des sociétés de presse, a engendré de nouvelles charges tout comme la convention collective » a-t-il déclaré.
