HAAC-Togo : Les médias, presse écrite ou en ligne sans existence légale, devront cesser de paraître jusqu’à leur régularisation
Le Togo dispose d’un nombre particulièrement élevé de publications, pour la plupart économiquement vulnérables.
La liste des organes de presse écrite et en ligne ayant une existence légale au Togo à la date du 31 janvier 2023 a été publiée mercredi 15 février par la Haute Autorité de l’Audiovisuel et de la Communication (HAAC).
Les professionnels des médias et les promoteurs des sociétés de presse n’ayant pas d’existence légale, sont invités à régulariser leur situation ou à cesser de paraître.
D’après la liste, la HAAC dénombre 77 presses en ligne et 69 presses écrites exploitées dans le pays. Ces journaux selon l’institution se sont conformées aux dispositions des articles 17, 18, 19, 68, 69 et 97 de la loi n° 2020-001 du 07 janvier 2020 relative au Code de la presse et de la Communication entré en vigueur, le 7 janvier 2023 dernier.
La HAAC, une institution dirigée par M. Pitalounani Télou, rappelle et met en garde dans un communiqué :
« Pour tous les autres organes de presse ne figurant pas sur cette liste, les récépissés de déclaration de parution ou les autorisations de création et d’exploitation préalablement délivrés par la HAAC sont désormais caducs. En conséquence, et n’ayant plus d’existence légale, ils sont invités à cesser de paraître jusqu’à la régularisation de leur situation ».
Le communiqué précise par ailleurs que la liste des organes de presse audiovisuels autorisés notamment radios et télévisions, sera publiée dans les jours à venir.
