L’homme assis au milieu sur l’image en béret rouge lisant le communiqué sanctionnant la destitution de l’ancien président Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Henri Damiba, n’est toute autre personne que le Capitaine Ibrahim Traoré, l’actuel président du Burkina Faso et du Mouvement Patriotique pour la Sauvegarde et de la Restauration (MPSR).
Contrairement à ce que pense l’opinion générale, le capitaine Ibrahim Traoré ne faisait pas partie des bataillons aux manœuvres déployés dans la ville ce Vendredi du 30 Septembre 2022. Capitaine Ibrahim Traoré
était le commandant du Régiment d’Artillerie (RA) du Dixième Régiment de Commandement d’Appui et de Soutien (10è RCAS) de Kaya, la première région militaire du Faso, située à une centaine de kilomètres de Ouagadougou. Il était l’un des hommes de l’ombre parmi les jeunes officiers ayant renversé l’ancien Président Roch Marc Christian Kaboré le 24 janvier 2022. Et pour ses bravoures il a été nommé tout récemment chef d’artillerie (RA) du 10ème Régiment de Commandement d’Appui et de Soutien( 10è RCAS), en Mars dernier, par le désormais ex-chef de la junte, le lieutenant-colonel Damiba.
Il faut noter que le courant ne passait plus normalement entre ces jeunes officiers et l’ex-chef de la junte Lieutenant-colonel Damiba. Ces jeunes officiers sont totalement impliqués dans la lutte contre les attaques terroristes dont plusieurs de leurs frères d’armes ont succombé. Dernier coup dur infligé par les terroristes à ses braves hommes était le récent carnage de Djibo où un convoi militaire dans une mission de ravitaillement de la ville Djibo à été attaqué par les territoires. Le bilan provisoire à l’heure fait état de 11 militaires tués et une vingtaine de blessés. D’autres sont portés disparus.
Ces officiers contestent la manière dont L’ex président Damiba gérait la crise, et l’accusaient de trahir la vision de la lutte car influencé par une manipulation étrangère en l’occurrence la France.
Ibrahim Traoré a pris les rênes du pays à l’âge de 34 ans , comme un certain Thomas Sankara,après un putsch militaire, capitaine comme lui aussi, et âgé de 34 ans. Faut- il voir là un lien ? Le pays des hommes intègres est en quête de nouveaux repères, un leader charismatique d’une intégrité remarquable et panafricaine a fortiori dans ce contexte d’enjeux géopolitiques très tendus où l’Afrique se retrouve à la croisée des chemins avec une jeunesse très consciente et engagée. Une jeunesse africaine prête à en découdre s avec système Françafrique, le néocolonialisme .
