C’était inévitable! Dans l’après-midi de ce Mercredi 17 Février 2021 à Avédji, en une fraction de secondes une petite fille a été renversée par un zémidjan. Sans trop vite réaliser ce qui se passait sous mes yeux et ma barbe (Même si j’en ai pas.), j’ai tout de même sursauté et fait deux ou trois pas en arrière..Je ne sais plus comment je me suis sentie… Oh le choc! Oh misère! Quelle tristesse! En un battement de cils, la petite venait de faire une roulade incontrôlée, pour en fin de compte se retrouver complètement à terre.Brusquement sortie de mes émotions, j’ai automatiquement rejoint l’accidentée et sa grande sœur pas très grande non plus.Tétanisée, la pauvre ne savait pas comment s’y prendre avec la petite qui était en larmes.
J’ai alors essayé autant que je pouvais de faire asseoir la petite, de la calmer et de vérifier sur le coup si elle avait été blessée. Elle s’en est sortie avec de petites égratignures et une douleur au pied droit, Dieu merci.J’ai ressenti ses chaudes larmes et ses cris aigus comme un transpercement.Tellement j’avais mal pour cette petite.
Personnellement, j’ai toujours été inquiétée de voir des enfants hauts comme trois pommes, traverser tout seuls les grandes voies dangereuses de Lomé.J’ai souvent partagé cette peine avec quelques amis, en leur posant la question de savoir comment des parents pouvaient avoir le courage de laisser leurs enfants affronter ce risque permanent (Je ne les juge pas!) mais sans jamais avoir de réponses concrètes et logiques.

Il n’y a pas qu’à la maison que nous devons protéger nos enfants.Leur sécurité en dehors de la maison devrait également nous préoccuper. Le ciel a épargné le pire à la petite fille d’hier soir mais j’ai encore la scène de cet accident qui défile dans ma tête. S’il vous plaît!
